If you are interested in purchasing any of the works displayed in this website or if you have any questions, or comments, relating to my work, or simply want to say hi please contact me via email or call the number below.  In some cases it may be necessary to contact one of the galleries that represent me (the contact information can be obtained in the LINKS section of this website).

I try to maintain the information on the works up to date but sometimes this may not be possible.  If you are interested in a particular work that is no longer available I can produce a variation of that work.  I may also have a similar work that is not displayed here.  And I also can take commissions, such as landscapes and portraits.  I am dependable and offer a reasonable and personable approach to all inquiries, so please let me know your interest and I’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

AS A MANNER OF INTRODUCTION
Art is in my mind and has been in my mind since I can remember.  I love art and I love doing art.  Art is my religion and artists my heroes and saints.  Art is an essential part of my spiritual life.  I come from a country, México, with vastly complex and rich cultural and artistic traditions and from an early age my father wanted to be sure that we kids appreciated this.  He encouraged me to stimulate and promote this legacy and be proud of it.

Strangely, I found support for pursuing my dream outside my country of origin.  North Carolina opened its arms to me.  I met wonderful friends, mentors and teachers there at UNC-G who encouraged me to do art.  I am specially thankful to Starr Moore, whose generosity allowed me to complete my Masters Degree, and most importantly showed me the true meaning of what a real friend is.

As I look outside into the world I find inspiration in nature, dreams, music, photography and my own thoughts.  For the last few years I have concentrated on landscape, still life, portraits and abstract work explorations.  The collection of works presented in this website is a partial representation of my output.  I am also interested in graphic design, illustrations (have published some books as an author or illustrator), cartoons (have published a few and have many more stacked away), printmaking and sculpture. I feel fortunate to have the motivation to do Art.  I am curious about life and as I try to translate this experience into my work I'm glad I can share it with you.

It's not a matter of painting life, it's a matter of giving life to painting.
